it got nothing to with the fact that there is some suspission and some things detected by the PSL client
my doubts are regarding why only ban from PSL ?
VR1 cheated he did not participated in PSL so no ban from psl yet he was kicked on site from all the servers ?

WHENEVER someone who is above the average skill joins he will be named cheater and have to prove this about 100 times in 1on1 games. Don't say no, it is fact this happens to a lot of people already where cheating was proven wrong. I think this is very sad.

These are some points I want to make in response to the open letter:
First of all, you do come up with some points that of course can have other reasons than the ones you describe. I won't list them all up here, for example: how would we know that you would be a "good" cheater who is technically able to hide a process?

This is, in my opinion, an unreasonable accusation. If you'd know shmutz, you'd know that he would not let everyone influence him on his decisions.

You say you play FPS for 12 years. According to your profile on the homepage you are 20. So you started playing Shooters at the age of 8?

I won't say much about ESL as I am not involved there.

Concerning the delay between your knowledge of your ban and the news post: I know that the PSL admins are quite occupied with some other things irl as well. They might have needed some time to create the videos and the newspost.

One word to this ESL client you have: there is nothing wrong with it letting you watch demos. I don't know how either of the two anticheat clients works, but obviously they are constructed differently. You could watch demos as well using the regular sauerbraten client. btw, you can always rename the executable (like sauerbraten_psl) and make another batch-file referring to it.

Concerning myself saying "I hate french people", I have to say that I refer to french people I know, and not to France in general. It's just that most of the frenchs (and I'd like to include certain Belgians in FK, too) I know are just not the people I could hang out with for a long time, to put it that way. This has several reasons, one of them is the strange humor I often find beeing offensive (for example this Bombay-TV series about the whole topic). One other was the DOS attack on the PSL server. Of course, it doesn't help when I see how people like Erzealh talk to friends of mine (look at the screenshot you posted, drealcheat.jpg).
Apart from that, there actually ARE french people I like, of course, like melody from the assault cube community.

Concerning your community participation: You apparently not know what we mean. You might have contributed in some ways, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you are a fully integrated part of the community.
It's not just about BEEING in some IRC channels, it's about TALKING and getting along with some of the people around, THATS the participation this is all about. and this includes beeing able to speak some english. And it happens that the ogros.org mumble server is the major meeting point for the community. You can NOT compare it to others, because in other communites there is just not this feeling about it because they are probably way larger.
